Reilly-Comblain 2-band Military Rifle

Calibre:

·577" Snider
Barrel length: 31½"
Serial no.: 1149
Date: 1868

This tip-up action was patented in 1867 by H. Haschke. (no.2,778). An extremely rare rifle, the curved lever on the right of the receiver is rotated anti-clockwise, and in one movement, unlocks the breech, withdraws the breech block from the barrel, tilts the block up, extracts and ejects the fired case and cocks the hammer.

This action is similar to the Blich-Scheel-Gregerson rifle
